Medusa website URL change (automatic update on 20 January 2026)

The NHS Injectable Medicines Guide (Medusa) is moving to a new website address. Eolas will update Medusa links for all trusts automatically on 20 January 2026, no action is required in the Eolas app.

What you’ll do

Understand what’s changing with the Medusa (NHS Injectable Medicines Guide) website, what (if anything) you need to do, and what happens on 20 January 2026.

Before you start

  • This applies to all trusts using Medusa via Eolas Medical websites and/or the Eolas app.

  • The Medusa website is changing from the old address to the new address:

  • Your Medusa usernames and passwords remain the same on the new site (they are case-sensitive).

Steps

  1. If you access Medusa through Eolas (website or app), do nothing.

    • No action is needed on your side.

    • There is no manual update required in the Eolas app.

  2. On 20 January 2026, Eolas will update Medusa links automatically for all trusts.

    • This includes all organisations (for example, Cavan Monaghan Hospital).

    • From this date, access to the old Medusa website will redirect to the new website.

  3. After 20 January 2026, verify the change worked.

    • You’ll know it worked when Medusa opens normally from your usual Eolas link and the address shown uses “imgmedusa.nhs.uk”.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

  • I have a saved bookmark or intranet link to Medusa, do I need to change it?

    • If you use Eolas links: no. Eolas will update these automatically on 20 January 2026.

    • If you use your own stored links outside of Eolas (e.g., Trust intranet pages, ePMA, or other third-party systems): update the domain from “medusaimg.nhs.uk” to “imgmedusa.nhs.uk” on your side.

  • Do we need to update anything in the Eolas app?

    • No. There’s no manual update required in the Eolas app.
