Adding Quizzes to The Learning Management System & User View

Learn how to add quiz modules to the Learning Management System in your space and what a user sees when completing a quiz you have created. 

 

1. Adding a Module with Content and Quizzes

  • Click Add Module
  • Select Module with Content and Quizzes
  • Enter a module name and click Create

Note: All newly created modules are unpublished by default and not visible to standard users.

 

2. Adding Content

  • Click Add Content
  • Select and upload your file (supported formats include videos, MS Office documents, web links, and Eolas editor content)
  • Wait for the upload to complete

Note: You must add content before you can publish the module or enable quizzes.

 

3. Adding a Pre-Training Quiz

  • Click Add Quiz and select Pre-Training Quiz
  • Set a pass rate (e.g. 50%)
  • Click Add Question and enter your question text
  • Add multiple choice answer options
  • Select the correct answer by clicking on it
  • Optionally add an answer explanation
  • Click Save Question

 

4. Adding a Post-Training Quiz

  • Click Add Quiz and select Post-Training Quiz
  • If you forgot to set a pass rate, add one, then click Update Quiz Details
  • Add questions, answer options, and select the correct answer
  • Click Save Question

 

5. Publishing the Module

  • Click Publish once content and quizzes are ready

6. User View (once published)

  • Users see the pre-training quiz first — content is locked until they pass it
  • If a user fails, they are automatically prompted to retake the quiz
  • Once the pre-training quiz is passed, the content is unlocked
  • The post-training quiz is visible but greyed out until all content is completed
  • Once the user scrolls through and completes the content, the post-training quiz unlocks
  • After passing the post-training quiz, the user is automatically offered the option to download a certificate
